Licensed Psychologist for En väg in

Together, we are developing Sahlgrenska University Hospital for a sustainable future. We are transforming healthcare with the goal of becoming Europe’s leading university hospital by 2032. Together with our patients, we work towards quality, accessibility, patient safety, research, education, and innovation – within an integrated healthcare system in Västra Götaland. Our vision and goals focus on providing care of the highest quality, where the patient is always the center of attention. We offer healthcare locally and regionally, as well as highly specialized care to patients across the country and abroad. Our employees are our strength, contributing to knowledge exchange nationally and internationally. With digital tools and new working methods, we can simplify everyday life at the hospital and provide modern, accessible, and effective care of the highest quality.

About the Organization

En väg in (EVI) is a regional contact center for children and young people with mental health issues in Västra Götaland.

At EVI, we also handle referrals to all regional Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) clinics, as well as advisory calls from youth, guardians, and care neighbors. Organizationally, EVI belongs to the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP) at Sahlgrenska University Hospital.

En väg in is located in central Gothenburg, and a team of approximately 20 people works here to provide the region's children and young people with the right psychiatric care at the right time and at the right institution. Psychologists, nurses, doctors, and administrative secretaries work here, and we are now looking for a licensed psychologist to join our team.

At EVI, we work cross-professionally and benefit from each other's experiences and competencies. We also continuously provide further education for staff in areas relevant to our operations and collaborate with BUP's outpatient clinics in the region, as well as care neighbors and partners such as primary care, social services, and school health services.

Job Responsibilities

Your workday at En väg in mainly consists of two parts - assessing incoming referrals and staffing our advisory phone line.

Guardians and, to some extent, young people call our advisory phone line with questions regarding mental health, and your task is to triage them to the appropriate level of care (BUP or primary care), or provide self-care advice, supported by established triage documents and current regional medical guidelines (RMRs). Care neighbors and partners also call the advisory phone line.

In the referral assessment, all regional referrals to BUP, including self-referrals, are handled. These are assessed in teams of at least two employees, and again, the main task is to triage to the appropriate level of care.

As an employee at En väg in, you also have the opportunity to be part of the further development of the organization and participate in various working groups regarding, for example, further education and internal planning.

Additionally, there is the possibility of remote work a couple of days a week.

About You

We are looking for a licensed psychologist. You have excellent skills in the Swedish language, both spoken and written, and good knowledge of English. You are IT-savvy. Previous experience working with children and young people with mental health issues and/or experience in referral assessment is considered an asset.

Great emphasis is placed on your personal qualities, where a good approach is central in telephone contact with children/youth and their parents. Since you work in a team with referral assessments and have contacts with various partners, you also need to have very good collaboration skills.

To thrive in this role, you need to be able to maintain quality and pace in methodical and recurring tasks. At the same time, you need to be flexible and able to shift focus when priorities change.

Warm welcome to submit your application!
